Is It Really Just The Identity (Tribe) Stupid?

I started working and thinking on this first from reading ReddHedd/Christy Hardin Smith at FireDogLake and then Digby, posting a long comment (#172@FDL) on each, but it started with Chris Bowers at MyDD. Great post and map(s) that makes a culture warrior, especially one fighting behind enemy lines here in the Bible Belt, think long and hard. More to come maybe yet they've all said much I think that is worth pondering. Tip of the tam to all! Peace ... or War!
