Captain Jimi ~ Taking the Politics Personal

In the "Culture War", a Scot can surely be useful. Certain interests use "family values" to rally foot soldiers for the wall streeters and other swells. I'm no fan of the Pharisees, but those who manipulate traditionalists merit the most attention. We'll tackle spirituality, sexuality, ethics, feminism, the First Amendment, tolerance ... with special scorn for abstinence-only sex education. Jimi's always protected!

Educated at tolerable public schools and the finest non-ABA accredited yet Church of Christ affiliated part-time/night law school in the entire state of Alabama, I've managed to play lawyer, teacher, student, farm hand, activist/organizer, infantry soldier ... A recovering Southern Baptist, I'm almost a Buddhist Cowboy these days although a variant of Vonnegut's Bokononism might work. My dog tags read Unitarian Universalist. I suppose secular humanist might work as well as anything. Running from the law for nine plus years, I first did GTA work at Auburn and then spent the next five years with hormonal teenagers. Supressing my Scots enough to not strangle any kids, and indeed I learned much about patience and kindness, I taught various Social Studies preps in west Georgia public schools. Frustrated with bumbling bureaucrats and pushover parents and ..., plus knowing the 2006 elections were critical, I set aside the chalk to work a Congressional campaign.
